One of the best ways to enjoy your waterfront view is to install bigger windows. When you own a custom home, you can have it built to your specifications so you can have windows as large as you want. While you can still have smaller windows on the side of the home that faces the land, consider adding more windows to the side on the water, or making these windows larger so that you can really enjoy that view!
A Deck on the Water
Another way to enjoy the water is to build a deck directly on the water. Go swimming, fishing, or have a barbecue all with a convenient place to relax, even if all you want to do is put up a hammock and find a sunny spot to read and take a nap. Plus, it’s a great place to watch the sunrise with a bagel and a cup of coffee or wind down with a glass of wine and some soft music as the day comes to an end.

If you live on the waterfront, then you can’t miss out on having a boat. Part of your custom home design should be a dock for you to keep your boat when it’s not actively in use. The pier is another great place to relax and fish without having to go out into the water.
