This house is located in the Bowleys Quarters area. With the proper design and engineering, it sustained ZERO damage from Hurricane Isabel. Although neighboring homes had severe damage and many needed to be demolished and completely rebuilt, this home withstood the brutal winds and pounding flood waters of the hurricane.

The flood surge at the peak of the storm was +8' from mean low tide in this area. Water was 4' higher than the garage floor. The cars were moved to higher ground and everything was saved. All mechanical and electrical was installed high for potential flooding.
